I have been showing and judging our lovely breed for over 40 years and over these years I have shown as much as my business commitments and family life would allow. I have thoroughly enjoyed showing cockers and have now been judging at Championship show level for over 20 years.
During these years I have also served on Cocker Spaniel Club committees, 35 years on The South Wales & Mon Cocker Spaniel Club and for the past 6 years The U K Cocker Spaniel Club.
I have been fortunate enough to have judged in quite a few countries, including The Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Sweden, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain and Australia. At home I was very honoured to Judge The Cocker Spaniel Club U K (bitches) 2015 and am even more honoured to have been invited to judge Crufts in 2021.
We first registered our affix Alisma in 1979 and have shown our dogs as much as family and business commitments would allow. I was also a Breed Club secretary for 19 years so I think I understand all aspects of the dog show world.
I first started judging our beautiful breed in 1995 and have been awarding C Cs since 2006. I have also been privileged to judge overseas in Finland, Slovakia and Australia.
We have always tried our best to breed to type and produce healthy, happy with good temperaments, only breeding when we want a new puppy to show ourselves. I believe that we have been moderately successful breeding, showing and winning C Cs, R C Cs, J W and Best Puppys.

We have had 2 Dams of Merit, the Top Boxer Puppy for 2007 ( a shared honour ), the Dam of the Year for 2007, and were named the Breeder of the Year for 2007, all Boxer Club of Canada awards. Our Boxers have participated in and obtained titles / certificates in obedience; agility; herding; lure coursing; and conformation in Canada and the States, including wins / awards at national and regional specialties.
I am undergoing the process for dog show judging in Canada and am licensed for the Working Group and the Sporting Group. In May 2018, I have the honour of judging the Allegheny Boxer Club Specialty .
Everything started 28 years ago when I was still a teenager and loved dogs and wanted to get my first. I already was dating my wife but my parents wouldn't allow me to have one, and so i got my first one and stayed in the house of my girlfriend (wife). We went to get a black female English Cocker Spaniel, and fell in love for a Blue Roan male. Then the breeder said to us that he was a wonderfull dog and we should go to a show. Without knowing anything about grooming and showing, the breeder Carlos Farinha from STOCDALE, showed me how to do it and he and a breeder from Finland, that was at his kennel told him that I showed natural and perfect. To start showing and grooming was a small step, and with that will of knowing more and better about the breed, we started the kennel name in 1993 under the Affix HARADWATER combining two lines that we had in the dogs from England and Scotland, HARADWAITHE and LYNWATER.
Since that year me and my wife started to breed under the kennel name HARADWATER, breeding type, balance and happiness, such as we love them merry cockers. For the past years we bred some beautifull ones that honour us. We do not have kennels. They live with us as really pets and that shows the connection that they have with us. From a small country we already bred some champions in South Africa, Brazil, Uruguay, USA, first long tail CH and GRCH, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Netherland, Germany, and also Top Cocker over there, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Gibraltar, and several international champions. Also dog with CC and Reserve CC in England.
As a groomer I already give to Seminars in Groomania Belgium two times and in Italy under the Spaniel Italian Club specific of English Cocker Spaniel.
As a judge I only started in 2012, because I'm still acting as breeder, but i have already judged in several countries, Denmark, Sweden, Germany , Italy, Portugal and Spain. I judge all Spaniels and Retrievers and some water dogs, giving CC and CACIBS, just need to finish Spanish and Portuguese water dog to close the FCI group 8. Judging International shows and Club Shows in Europe.
